So I was site hopping when i stumbled upon this very site, Its format is in the FML, MLIA, MMT kinda way, but these aren't stories about how mundane or sucky your life is.
GMH stands for Gives Me Hope LGMH stands for Love Gives Me Hope
here are a few:
In 1948, my grandfather was looking through a high school yearbook and saw a woman's picture.
He looked to his sister, pointed to the picture and told her that he was going to marry that girl.
This weekend, I watched that very woman give my grandfather a kiss goodbye and tell him she'd meet him in heaven - together, forever. Their LGMH

Recently, I tried to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge.
My boyfriend saved me by jumping in after me and pulling me out.
When I woke up in the hospital he was in a hospital bed next to mine as he had suffered a minor concussion. He looked at me, smiled, and said "I promised I'd always catch you."

When I was 17, my mother died of a brain tumour.
As I cried after the funeral in a secluded area, my best friend found me. He frowned and said, "People aren't supposed to look beautiful when they cry. How do you do it?"

I got bullied in school a lot. One day, a beat-up ended in a lot of pain.
Close to tears, I retreated to the boys' room. A girl had seen the entire incident and followed me into the boys' room, where she held me as I cried.
Yesterday, I looked across at her as I said "I do." Her caring heart GMH.

One year ago, I was seriously depressed and contemplating suicide.
The boy who sat behind me in Geometry asked every day if I was okay, despite my often rude or short responses. He didn't know it, but his caring questions were the one thing keeping me alive.
Today he is my love and my best friend. I am so much more than okay. He GMH.

My Dad was suffering from a terminal illness and he had to quit his job while my mom worked more hours.
Although he couldn't work, was attached to an oxygen tank and could barely walk, he still somehow made it to the kitchen everyday to make dinner for my mom before she got home.
Dad, your love for mom GMH. RIP, I love you.

Today, my boyfriend told me that he loved me.
When I asked why, he took out a list. It was 337 reasons long, and he said he had a pen in his back pocket in case he remembered any new ones.

A few months ago I went on a trip to Paris.
I saw a woman with her friend who was blind. She helped him up the Eiffel Tower and when we all were close to the top he'd asked if they were there yet. At the top, he got down on one knee and proposed to her.
She said yes. Love is never blind. That GMH

Two weeks ago, my brother was diagnosed with leukemia.
He has lost all of his hair and gets made fun of quite frequently in school. yesterday, the girl he has liked for over 3 years walked into school with her hair shaved.
They are now dating. Her unconditional love GMH.

When my sister was younger she came home from school one day and demanded I take her to the library so she could get books on sign language.
I asked why? She told me there was a new kid at school who was deaf and she wanted to befriend him.
Today I stood beside her at their wedding watching her sign "I DO". GMH
